천안시 일반근린형 도시재생 뉴딜사업인 동남구 사직동 일원은 천안시의 오래된 주거지역이지만, 신도시가 개발되고 젊은인구들이 유출되면서 초고령화가 급격하게 진행되는 지역이다. 도시재생사업 활성화구역으로 선정된 이후에도 공동체 형성이 되지 않아 주민들을 발굴하고 주민들의 수요와 관심사를 함께 논의하여 지역의 커뮤니티를 구축하는 워크숍을 운영하였다. 주요 콘텐츠로 커뮤니티 텃밭만들기 및 지역 생산물활용, 함께 나누는 건강밥상, 골목길환경개선 등이 있다.

The Dongnam-gu Sajik-dong area in Cheonan City, which is part of the general neighborhood type urban regeneration New Deal project, is an old residential area in Cheonan City. However, with the development of new cities and the outflow of young population, the area is experiencing rapid aging. Despite being designated as an active area for urban regeneration projects, community formation has not been achieved. In order to address this, workshops were conducted to engage residents, identify their needs and interests, and build a local community. Key contents of these workshops included creating community gardens and utilizing local produce, sharing healthy meals together, and improving the environment of alleyways.
