광양 도시재생활성화계획의 일환으로 다양한 주민 주체가 도시재생 사업에 참여하고 성장할 수 있도록 주민참여 프로그램을 기획·운영하고, 주민공모사업을 지원하였다. 과업기간 도중 코로나19의 확산으로 인해 예정되어 있었던 교육 프로그램, 행사 등을 비대면 온라인 교육, 비대면 행사로 변경하여 운영하였다. 5년차 도시재생사업지인 광양읍은 거점공간이 준공되어 지역 주민들과 거점공간에서 동네부엌 프로그램과 거점공간의 텃밭에서는 동네정원 프로그램을 운영하여 공간의 지속가능성에 대해 도모하였다.

As part of the Gwangyang Urban Regeneration, a resident participation program was planned and operated so that various resident actors could participate in and grow in the urban regeneration project and supported the resident open call project. During the project period, due to the spread of COVID-19, educational programs and events that were scheduled were changed to non-face-to-face online education and non-face-to-face events. In Gwangyang-eup, the 5th year urban regeneration project site, the base space was completed, and the neighborhood kitchen program was operated in the base space with local residents and the neighborhood garden program was operated in the base space's vegetable garden to promote the sustainability of the space.
