신정호는 면적이 92ha에 달하는 도심 속 수변공간으로 기조성된 유원지와 인접한 신정호 관광지와의 연계를 통한 관광 잠재력을 가지고 있다. 관광객이 증가하고 있으며 주변 상업시설 또한 증가하고 있어 난개발 방지와 자연친화적 관광자원 개발이 필요한 상황이다. 따라서 신정호 유원지 미조성지 조성을 통해 수변과 조화를 이루는 특색있는 유원지 조성과 향후 지방정원으로 확대조성을 고려하여 조성계획을 변경하고자 하였다. 이를 통해 아산시민의 여가 및 휴식공간을 제공하는 정원시설로 역할하길 기대한다.

Sinjeongho, with an area of 92 hectares, is a waterfront space located in the heart of the city. It has the potential for tourism through its connection with the adjacent Sinjeongho Tourist Site, which is designed as a recreational area. The number of tourists is increasing, and there is a growing number of commercial facilities in the surrounding area, indicating the need for preventing haphazard development and developing nature-friendly tourism resources. Therefore, there is a plan to change the development plan by creating a unique recreational area that harmonizes with the waterfront through the development of the undeveloped area of Sinjeongho and considering future expansion as a local garden. It is expected to serve as a leisure and relaxation space for the citizens of Asan.
