속리산과 법주사로 대표되는 보은군의 새로운 산업 성장동력마련을 위한 관광시장 강화 계획을 마려하는 프로젝트로 1개읍 10개면의 각 지역적 특징을 강화할 수 있는 관광기본계획을 수립하였다. 관광지간의 상호연결을 통한 통합적 관광체계 마련, 지역의 주요한 관광컨텐츠인 역사문화자원과 산림자원의 브랜드 이미지 강화, 새로운 관광시장분야의 확대를 위한 스포츠테마관광등의 목표를 두고 진행하였으며 보은군 전반의 균형적인 관광도시로서의 발전방안을 마련하였다.

A project has been initiated to strengthen the tourism market and create new industrial growth drivers in Boeun-gun, represented by Sognisan Mountain and Beobjusa Temple. A tourism master plan has been established to enhance the unique characteristics of each region, including one town and ten villages. The plan focuses on establishing an integrated tourism system through the interconnection of tourist destinations, enhancing the brand image of historical and cultural resources and forest resources, which are key tourism contents in the region, and expanding into new tourism market sectors such as sports-themed tourism. The goal is to develop Boeun-gun as a well-balanced tourist city.
