서울 3도심의 중심에 위치하고 한강에 면한 동작구는 배후주거지역으로서 성장 잠재력이 풍부하나, 오늘날 동작구의 위상은 축소되고 있어 도시 미래상 마련을 통한 새로운 위상 정립이 필요하다. 본 프로젝트에서는 2040 서울 도시기본계획을 자치구 단위로 구체화하는 것을 최우선 목표로 하여 보행일상권 조성, 그레이트 한강 프로젝트 등 시 정책 방향에 대응하여 동작구의 도시공간 개편을 위한 발전 전략을 수립하였다.

동작구의 중심지 육성방안, 보행일상권 계획과 연계한 역세권 공간구조 개편방안, 수변공간 개편방안을 마련하였으며, 산발적으로 추진중인 재개발·재건축 사업의 종합적 가이드라인을 제시하였다. 중심지 육성, 교육문화, 수변특화, 공원녹지, 도로·교통체계, 안전방재 총 6개 부문의 목표를 설정하고 추진전략을 수립하였다.

Dongjak-gu, located in the center Seoul's three major downtowns and facing the Han river, has abundant growth potential as a residential hinterland. However, Dongjak-gu's status is shrinking today, and it needs to establish a new status by preparing a vision for the future of the city. This project aimed to concretize the 2040 Seoul urban plan at the district level, and has established a development strategy for reorganizing the urban space of Dongjak-gu in response to Seoul's city policy such as the walking life zones and the Great Han river project.

We have made a plan to foster the center of Dongjak-gu, a plan to reorganize the spatial structure of the station area in conjunction with the walking life zone plan, and a plan to reorganize the waterside space, and have presented comprehensive guidelines for the redevelopment projects that are being promoted sporadically. We set goals and established implementation strategies for six sectors: fostering the central city, education and culture, specialization in waterfront areas, parks and green spaces, roads and transportation systems, and safety and disaster prevention.
